2010 Schedule:
July 12th - 16th, 2010:
The lovely Donna Himmelman, head teacher of the South Shore Waldorf School Kindergarten, offers a beautiful experience for any child. Following the rhythm of the Waldorf kindergarten, this program is rich in outdoor play, circle time, songs, stories, crafts, and creative play. Donna looks forward to sharing with the children the Waldorf tradition of baking bread which the children eat as part of there snack during the course of the week. She will gently guide them as they create works of art using wet-on-wet water color painting techniques.
Aug. 2nd - 6th, 2010
Marianna Schwabb leads the children in a project called Weaving Mother Nature’s Web. Marianna, a trained Waldorf Teacher now teaching at the Sunrise Waldorf School on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, returns to Nova Scotia each year to offer our young people a taste of the beauty and gentleness of the Waldorf School. Children travel into the land of imagination through imitation and rhythm, with songs, finger games, puppet shows, stories and outdoor play. Crafts and activities awaken the senses with the use of natural materials. Marianna is fluent in English and German and welcomes students visiting Canada.
